Strongwomen, Reality Television and a Poet at the Wheel

Gather them at a single table for a very good, odd dinner party. A professional strongwoman who jokes about scrubbing her boat every day sits beside a former VH1 reality contestant who treats Halloween as a season rather than a night. There is a walking comedy routine who writes like a heartbroken poet, a brat who has built herself the cosiest corner on the coast, a country fest regular with a blue-collar streak and a princess persona, and a woman who would rather be out in the woods. Little connects them except the shoreline; they run from sultry and silly to glamorous and occasionally sharp.

That shoreline belongs to Myrtle Beach, the resort city on South Carolina's Atlantic coast, sitting at the centre of the long run of sand known as the Grand Strand. Worth meeting properly are these few from 114 on the city's list, whose lives reveal their surroundings through marinas, beach days, country music and nights out that run late.

The People Behind the Grand Strand's Favourite Pages

#1Kristen Graham: The Strongwoman Who Would Rather Be Washing the Boat

Lifting heavy is the day job. Training in Myrtle Beach, Kristen Graham competes as a lightweight professional strongwoman and shows all week that serious training and a good night out sit happily together. Anyone who asks hears that she wants to wash her boat, moored at Grande Dunes Marina, every single day, her grin suggesting the washing is beside the point. Atlanta keeps luring her back for nights out with friends, a Myrtle Beach steakhouse gets the Saturday toast, and Shadow, her Dobermann, gets more fuss than most people. Ride-or-die loyalty is what people adore her for. Nobody in town produces more than she does, and her paid OnlyFans page has a counterpart costing nothing.

#2Whitney Plusnick: Stand-Up Comic With a Poet's Midnight Streak

Part walking stand-up routine, part mystery wrapped in an enigma, Whitney Plusnick holds up in both, with comedy first. One minute she is belting out sad songs on a late drive home; the next she is writing about girls full of heartache and poetry who try to save wolves instead of running from them. She spent a Fourth of July weekend at Tin Roof in Myrtle Beach and declared it lit, literally. Expect sultry, quick and slightly guarded, the sort who would sooner be found where the wild things are than anywhere sensible. Her OnlyFans page runs on videos.

#3Star: The Autumn Romantic Who Talks to the Moon

Autumn is her season, chocolate her weakness and sunshine her other weakness, and Star takes all of it one day at a time. Soft romance is her streak, and it lands on whoever happens to be reading. Expect short films and cosplay work from her, plus open messages for custom requests, under Italian, solo and cosplay labels on OnlyFans. Sweet on the surface, playful underneath.

#4The little Big Red: The Brat in the Cosiest Corner on the Coast

Soft but teasing is the whole manifesto. The little Big Red runs a cosy corner on OnlyFans with bratty charm, sultry but always on her own terms, and offers custom content, voice notes and bundles for anyone planning to stay a while. Away from it she is a working model with an eye for travel, and a natural comic who turns everyday indignities into running jokes: a mutinous pinky toe, or the five-step plan she needs before doing anything nice for herself. She shows up for everyone else without hesitation and freely admits she is still learning to do the same for herself. People warm to her because the humour never hides the heart.

#5taykayyyy: The Woodland Thrifter Who Greets the Nerds

taykayyyy would rather be somewhere in the woods. She greets her people as nerds, is happiest once she and the elevation finally meet, and once came home from a thrift shop with a butterfly lamp good enough to make strangers gasp. Pittsburgh is part of her story too. Her cheeky, rough-edged OnlyFans page lets anyone in without paying, and videos are the draw.

#6farrah shelton: The Rock of Love Alumna With a Haunted House Habit

Reality television made farrah shelton a name. She was a cast member on VH1's Rock of Love, went on to Charm School, and the people who watched still quote her season back at her. These days she lives in Myrtle Beach and binge-watches everything so nobody else has to, from documentaries to American Horror Story and The Traitors. October is her high holy month: haunted houses, Beetlejuice, thrift-store hunts and Dollar Tree hauls all get the full treatment, as does her running feud with McDonald's over a dragon fruit Red Bull she now makes herself. Her cat is lazy and adored. Funny and unfiltered, with a camp glamour, she offers custom videos and accepts tips on OnlyFans.

#7just4you101: The Beach-Day Conversationalist With Ohio Farm Roots

Beach days, deep talks and laughter make up the whole plan for just4you101, a wild heart with a soft soul who trusts that the best moments are the unexpected ones. A surfboard has taken her out at least once; she is happiest by the sea. A love of farming and the garden sits alongside the Canton, Ohio chapter of her story. She means it when she flirts, shines in OnlyFans messages and wants to be someone's next favourite conversation.

#8abagailjayy: The Blue-Collar Princess of the Country Fest

Home is Myrtle Beach now, after Shamokin, Pennsylvania. abagailjayy pairs a blue-collar personality with a princess persona, which explains a great deal. She will happily take the wheel of a boat, then turn up at the Carolina Country Music Fest with full princess energy. Summer means Ocean City, Maryland, and her pet Mazikeen supplies the peace and the chaos in equal turns. Message her and spoil her on OnlyFans, and extra attention follows from this flirty, direct creator. Best for fans of sass with a little sweetness.

#9Michel Rodríguez: The Sweet-Talker Who Opens With Papi

For Michel Rodríguez, chat is everything: everyone is papi, the conversation is promised tasty, and the playfully tangled English is half the charm. Latina and Asian labels from the site sit alongside a flirty, warm and happily chatty OnlyFans tone. A good match if chatting appeals more than browsing.

The Grand Strand Rewards Moving Pictures and Made-to-Order Work

Myrtle Beach's leading creators carry the videos label at a rate of 50%, while creators across the city sit at 25%. Custom work is the other tell. Solo and chat labels give the game away too, appearing far more among the popular than elsewhere. What people here go for, as we read it, is someone who films something, does a piece only for them, and stays to talk. Nobody stands out for ink, as tattooed is the town's most common label. Taking a brief willingly sets favourites apart.
